Hopie Too Thanks for the b-day wishes but Mom wasn't on the computer, it kept giving her problems. My mommie hasn't been on in a long time because she still can't figure out how to use it. And now my mom's computer crashed totally on her, she couldn't get on line so she bought a new computer and can't figure out how to use. It is an all in one (no tower) and has a 23.5 inch screen. Her co-op student hooked it up to wireless so she can bring the computer into her bedroom. I will be in my new home a year on April 13th and I am still learning. Mom has even been taking me over to the clinic off leash and I haven't run off yet. Oh yeah one more thing, I go in for surgery a week before my mom. Both of my bottom tear ducts are blocked or non existent so they will put me under anesthesia to try a more forceful flush, if no success then they will inject dye into the ducts and then xray my face (actually from my eyes to the nasal cavity) to see where the dye stops. Good thing my mom decided to get pet insurance on me because now it is starting to come in handy. The quote was 600.00 - 1700.00 but mom would only have to pay 90%. Wish me luck. Hopie Too Thanks for the b-day wishes but Mom wasn't on the computer, it kept giving her problems. My mommie hasn't been on in a long time because she still can't figure out how to use it. Hope you get this message. Unfortunately my mommie will not be doing anything starting on April 19th. She has to have her left foot reoperated on. She can barely walk now since she broke it in 2005. The doctor first said total ankle replacement and mom got scared. So for now they will remove all 9 pieces of metal hardware that was holding her ankle together and then the doc said that he will do a synoivectomy. (I think that means removing all the cartilage that is damaged in the joint then he said he will cut the end of the tibia off that is rolling into the joint. He told her she needs to be in bed for 2 weeks and only get up to go to the bathroom. No shower for 2 weeks. Mom told me that that won't happen. Then she is non weight bearing for a minimum of 6 weeks. Then she doesn't know after that. But mom is determined to get to the office the Monday after surgery. She said she will go in a wheel chair if she is up to it. She has been practicing using her crutches already. If this procedure doesn't give her any pain relief she will need a total ankle replacement.
