Here's a vote for you in apology for my absence! I forgot to tell you all about Mommy going to Southern New England Missionaries Network (SNEMN Camp) for a week, and how her cousins were around beforehand, and they live in Minnesota, so we hardly see them!! I apologize greatly for "ditching" you guys! I forgot all about telling you. Well, I drove back here last night and now I'm back on again. I'm so thankful to have forgiving friends like you! Anyway, this year at SNEMN Camp was pretty unorganized... probably because Caleb (the camp director) was out. His wife is pregnant and due in October. But it still was fun there! SNEMN Camp (recently known as Southern New England District Camp "SNED Camp") is basically a Christian camp you stay at for 1 week. Boys stay in cabins in the woods, and girls stay in rooms with bunk beds on the main floor. Most of the girls' rooms are one room per team (you compete to get 1st place in the end), but there is one "big room" made to fit 4 teams in it. There was our team (Team Rubik's), Team Slide, Team Trolley and Team Victrola. The team names come from the camp theme, which changes every year. This year the theme was "This Changes Everything", so the team names came from great, life-changing ideas and inventions (hence our team name, Rubik's). Each team has two team leaders - a male and a female. Then, throughout the week, teams compete in activities to get points. The people who give points are the Rec. Staff from Zion Bible College. They are all good natured people who make everyone laugh so hard. Team Victrola sabotaged our section. While we were gone, they popped our balLoons, ripped up Mackenzie's hearts that she made out of paper (and put them under the bed so the Rec. Staff wouldn't know) AND they stole our candy (Rec. Staff checked rooms for cleanliness, aroma, and incentives!). We know ut was them because they were the only team out of our alliance. But we told the staff what happened and they gave us extra pounts for our hard work. Anyway, too much else to say, but if you are interested I'd love to blog you a private message about camp. Hope you have a great day! Angel Diamond and the Crew
