WELCOME TO DC --SIMON--

Welcome to DC, Simon, nice to meet you, my name is Shadow, a Lab too !!!!! Simon steal'n your vote bone munch munch, come over steal mine back !! Leaving a big bowl of frosty paw ice cream, well summer months are here, means either swimming or more baths. Mom said time for my bath !!!! <><> 5 Steps of Bathing <><> <> BRUSH FIRST: Good brushing removes tangles from tightening when wet, helps loosen shed hair & dirt easily washed a way, mostly stimulates oils in dogs' skin, helping prevent irritation to sensitive skin. <> GET READY: Have everything in reach: gentle shampoo, coat conditioners for longer coats, scrub brush for thicker coats, big absorbent towel. <> WET YOUR DOG DOWN: Choose to bathe in the tub, sink or outside (check the water temperature first). Wet thoroughly before applying shampoo. Fur repeles water, keep lukewarm water flowing, the coat should be wet to the skin. <> SUDS IT UP, RINSE IT OUT: Apply shampoo, massage in, avoid getting any in eyes & ears. Don't forget the belly, feet & rear. Thick coats, heavy-duty bath brush. Rinse, rinse & rinse some more. Sprayer attachments are most efficient method, or a big cup filled with fresh water will work!! Skin irritation after bathing because of residue. <> DRY OFF: Wrap in a big towel & blot coat thoroughly, stand back ready for a shake or a big mighty shake. Blow-dry & style if long, curly-coated breeds, keep inside until air-dries sufficiently, especially with colder weather. Even in warm weather, wet dog's like to dry by rolling in the grass or in a nice dry patch of dirt !!! You know what this means - time - for another bath. Simon press my DOTM Vote Button, have a great Sunday, come over visit Your Pal Shadow

Come visit me, Shadow & Duke<3
