Happy April 1st, and Palm Sunday♥
How are you doing on this beautiful Palm Sunday? Mommy went to church and said that there was a wonderful service! The parish started outside and then processed into the church. While outside, the deacon read the Gospel and everyone held up their palm leaves. The parish was blessed to have such a gorgeous day for a (partially) outside service!! I wish that I could go to church with Mommy but there is already a doggie that goes there (a Dachshund!) and I'm not very good with other doggies!
This morning (before the church service), Mommy worked on some more photos for my Dog Of The Month run next month. I can't wait for my run. Speaking of DOTM ~ Please visit my dear friend (and now Queen!) LADY FIONA THE FEARLESS (#11593) and congratulate her on receiving her new DOTM badge! I hope that Maine's wonderful weather is spreading out to as far as where you live! We're supposed to have a chance of rain tonight, so I wonder how long this sunshine will last? It's already clouding over! Dang! TeeHee. Well here's my vote-y for you ~ Have a super duper day!

Good Morning, Mr. Tarquinn♥ !
Dropping by with a quick Super Saturday vote-y for you :) Happy last day of March! How are you doing? The temps right now are in the mid thirties, but we're supposed to reach 40°F! Yay! Right now I'm just relaxing in the bowl chair, with all sorts of comfy things underneath me like pillows, blankets and a sleeping bag! TeeHee! Can you believe that tomorrow is April 1st? Mom's glad, and so am I since I'm going to be running for Doggie Of The Day on April 7th to win on Mommy's birthday (and Easter), April 8th! I can't wait! Have a super duper day :)

♥ Good Afternoon, Mr. Tarquinn ♥
It's a nice, bright and sunny day here in Central Maine today!! The temps are in the mid thirties ~ Cool for this time of year but I guess it's better than 20°F or even 85°F! Tee hee!
Well I think we solved our duckie n' goosie problem, or at least for now! We switched some things around in the duck (and goose) "barn" so now at night, the ducks have their own pen, and each goose has a pen to himself. They're not fans of the new set-up but they'll get used to it soon! Sheesh, the work is never done on a farm, is it? Tee hee!

♥ Good Afternoon, Mr. Tarquinn! ♥
Goodness Gracious!! Let me start off by apologizing for my in-consistent blogging! Mommy has been busy, and when she has been online, she hasn't been on Dogchannel. Sheesh, Mommy!! Well I'm finally here now and HOPEFULLY I will be much more often than before!
How have things been with you? Things have been pretty normal here lately, except that the weather has been even crazier than before!! Okey so in January and February, the weather was normal, maybe a little on the warm side (though we did get some below zero temps!). Then in March, we started getting 85°F Temps! ((WOWW)) Now, suddenly we're in the low 30's and got SNOW (Yes, SNOW) yesterday!! This weekend is supposed to be much more normal though ~ In the high 40's to 50 on Sunday! Whew!
Well there is something else that happened today that isn't quite normal. January-February-March is GOOSE mating season, so they get all riled up with hormones and all that good stuff, and become very aggressive! And our problem is that we have TWO MALES and no females! (Toulouse geese, by the way). So things get pretty messy (literally) in late winter/early spring! Not fun! Geese are VERY aggressive and brutal when they fight! Ruby tries and tries to stop them (barking and running alongside the pen!) but to no avail! The family tries to stop them too but sometimes they get mixed up in the fight and get bites and bruises! Sheeeshies!! So anyWHO, this morning there was quite the issue. A family member went out to let the ducks (we also have those, two females) and geese, and there was quite a bit of noise coming from in there. (By the way, the ducks & geese live in the same pen/building).
We keep both of the geese separated at night when it's mating season, to prevent messy fights when we're in bed (So that's one goose with the two ducks and one goose by himself). Anyway the person went in to find out what was going on ~ AND BY GOLLY, a goose was attacking one of the poor little ducks! We've had a drake die from a goose attacking him (we're assuming that happened anyway, since we didn't witness it), so this is quite a problem.. especially since the geese are so much bigger! So after they got separated, the family has been trying to decide whether to do one, or both, of the geese in or to leave them be and see if they get over this phase quickly. Quite the issue!

Hello Dear Furrend, Tarquinn♥ Huggies to U!
How are you doing? I've had a very fun and full day today! This morning, after Mommy & I shared some English muffins with peanut butter for breakfast, we went out and took care of our chickens. We have about 40 chickens, but there are 5 of them in their own pen by themselves, that are a special bantam (small) breed called Belgian d'Uccle Mille Fleur, that Mommy says are mine just as much as they are hers! That's what I mean whenever I say "Our chickens", just so you know! I love taking care of our chickens. Mommy takes care of the feeding, watering, cleaning chicken house etc. and I supervise. Doesn't sound like much, but it really is a lot of work.
Then at mid-morning/afternoon, Mommy & I went out for a nice romp around the yard! Mommy checked on the cows, and I scouted the area! That was lots of fun. Mommy took some pictures, too, which she will look through later and maybe upload some!
Late afternoon, Mommy worked on gathering some information for me to use in my DOTM run. We have officially decided to use the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show theme, so Mom was collecting all sorts of neat stuff about it and putting it in a word document to use in May! It's gonna be lots of fun :)
So after Mommy finished working on my DOTM theme, we went on a walk! Mommy took me, and Uncle took Butler. We didn't go super far, but that's okay, because I was getting pretty tired. It got pretty warm today, once again! It got to at least 75°F, which is pretty odd for early spring in Maine! So once we got home, Butler & I drank lots of water, then Mommy turned the fan on for us. Butler sat in it for a few minutes, but I wasn't very interested, so now Mommy's using the fan for herself. Heheh!
