How We Met?

I asked for a puppy for Christmas (my kitten named Thomas died, and he looked and walked exactly like Thomas the ally cat!) anyway, i wanted a chocolate lab, just like Maderia, but when i woke up on Christmas morn...i had her! It was puppy love at first sight! She is my mostly companion.

Thanksgiving

Hi Bridget. I did not have such a great Thanksgiving. My people took Grandma out to eat and when they came back I threw up all over their bed. My Mommy had to wash everything and my Daddy just held me. I went to sleep so I feel better now. I am not sure why I got sick. I did not eat any junk. Hope you had a good Thanksgiving. Skylar

Hi! My name is Maggie #146404. I'm an Aussie who's life is on the big screen! I'm a member of the Australian Shepherd Club of Dog Channel (ASCDC). I'm running for DOTM this November, and I'd be really cool if you could help me out by adding "Vote Maggie #146404 DOTM Nov!" to the end of your name, or voting every day this Novemeber, or even copy/pasting this out to other dogs! My theme? Hollywoof! A dog's spin on Hollywood! Also, if I've already given you this, please forgive me. So what are you waiting for? Lights, Camera, VOTE MAGGIE! - Also: There is concern about Vetsulin because of formulation problems, the agency says. Veterinarians are being warned to closely monitor dogs & cats receiving Vetsulin because the product may have varying amounts of crystalline zinc insulin in the formulation, according to an alert sent out Monday by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration’- s Center for Veterinary Medicine. Vetsulin, which is manufactured by Intervet/Scheri- ng-Plough Animal Health, is a porcine insulin zinc suspension used to treat diabetes in animals. Because the product is out of specification, there could be a delay in insulin action & overall longer duration of insulin activity, according to the FDA. Products having significant problems with stability can affect the management of chronic diseases. Unstable insulin products can result in unpredictable fluctuations in the glucose levels of diabetic patients, the FDA noted in its alert. Veterinarians are urged to monitor patients for any changes in onset or duration of activity, or for any signs of hyperglycemia or hypoglycemia. The classic signs of hyperglycemia include increased thirst, increased urination, weight loss & lethargy. The classic signs of hypoglycemia include disorientation, unsteadiness, weakness, lethargy & seizures. The FDA said that while Intervet/Scheri- ng-Plough Animal Health is working with them to resolve the issue, supplies may be limited. Therefore, the FDA is suggesting that veterinarians consider transitioning their diabetic patients to other insulin products. The FDA is also encouraging veterinarians to report any adverse events with Intervet/Scheri- ng-Plough Animal Health at 800-224-5318. If you recive this blog, PLEASE pass it on. This is VERY important info!
