Hi magpie! How have you been today? It was cloudy and rainy this morning but now its beautiful and sunny!!! sorry i have not been on lately I've been busy (as usual). WE were having beautiful days over here!!!! But yesterday it rained :(. I few days ago I got out of the house! Mom wasn't happy with me, but I had fun. Went on a couple of walks. Today when mom got home from erands, she found me on the couch! and I KNOW I'm not soposed to go on the couch! Oh and MOM IS STARTING AGILITY WITH ME!!!!!!!!!!! we start classes on the 2nd of next month! Me and mom are both excited! Here's todays thing out of "why do dogs drink out of the toilet? 101 of the most perplexing questions about dogs!"
Q: Why does my dog take so long to poop?
A: Who hasn't waited impatiently in the worst of weather and for the dog to sniff, sniff, then sniff some more bofore dropping a load for all to see, smell or, unfortunately, sometimes step in. (of course we reccommend that you stoop to scoop!)
While checking the "pee-mail" is an important form of communication for dogs, the deliberations involved in dropping the big loads doesn't seem to make as much sense-to us at least. But feces are a much more visable teritory maker than urine. A dog might well want to carefully evaluate the pros and cons of planting a fecal flag in some other dog's territory. Obviously, this is a decition that requiers careful thought.
In some dogs, delaying is a learned behavior. They've figured out that as soon as they're done, the outing's over-so they'll delay as long as posible. Give your dog a little extra walking time, perhaps with a fun game thrown in. and she won't feel it's so urgent to carefully schedule her poop.

hi maggie!Today i took a LONg bike ride!! Me and mom almost couldn't fell our legs!! Mom has been doing this with me for the last 3 days! i hope she keeps it up cuz I love it!!!

Q: Why do dogs drink out of the toliet? Is it safe to let them?
A: WE all have our likes and dislikes. Whlie the very idea of drinking from a toliet digusts us, our dogs have a different perspective.
Dogs consider the toilet an incredible, spring fed porcelian foutian. From a dog's point of view, toliet water is better because it's fresher, and hasn't been sitting in a little bowl for hours and hours. It's magicly changed, refreshed, renewed, with every push of the handle. The water stays cooler longer because of the porcelian container, and because the larger surface area of the toliet bowl leads to greater evaporation. And toliets are made of material that doesn't alter the taste of the water the way metal or plastic can. (Not that the toliet manufacturers think about such things, we're sure.) Greater oxygenation may also make the water "taste better". (Taste, of corse is always a very personal matter.)beyond thease considerations, there may also be a built in suvivial strateagy at work.Toeiltsmay satisfy a dog's instinc to choose running water.Inn nature the movement in the water breaks up the yeast,molds, and conchoice, wouldn't you ratherdrink from a freash mountian stream, than a brackish pond?
Besides the allure of the water, there's the bathroom itself. Easy to clean floonsmade of tile or other smooth, cool surfaces make the bathroom one of the cooler rooms in the house-great for a dog nap on a warm day!
Still, the experts reccomend that dogs do not drink from the toielet, because the bowls may contain the redsidue of harmful chemicals and other unmentionables.
Easy solution: Keep the lid down.

Good afternoon! all thease holidays! Valentines day and them presidents day! We'll i'm happy my mom gets an extra day of school for presidents day! Do you have any other dogs or small critters in your home? I'm an only dog but mom has, a rat, 2 goldfish, 2 betta fish, and a bunch of stick bugs!
