recipe of the week 4 *Cheescake for humans!!!!!!*
Red Velvet cheesecake Source:A H-E-B Magazine
Ingredients:
1/2 lb. of milk chocholate, chopped
1/2 cup of butter
For crust-
another 1/2 cup butter
9 oz chocolate wafer cookies (40-50 cookies)
1 cup semisweet chocolate pieces
1 cup slivered almonds
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
For filling:
4 (8oz) packages of light cream cheese (softened)
1 cup of greek yogurt (or other thick yogurt)
1/3 cup of buttermilk
2 teaspoons of red food coloring
4 eggs
2 egg yolks
Optional:
Chocolate leaves,powdered suger, unsweetened cocoa powder, fresh raspberries and/or small, whole strawberries(all for garnishing)
Prep:
Either buy a pre-made crust or-
.In a saucepan, melt milk chocolate and 1/2 cup of butter over low heat. Transfer to a bowl and cool completely. Process wafer cookies, chocolate pieces,almonds and brown sugar in a food processor until finely ground. Add 1/2 cup of butter and process until well combined.Press crumbs onto bottom and sides of a 10 x 13 inch spring form pan, leaving a 1/2-inch space at the top of the pan. Set aside.
.For the filling, beat cooled chocolate mixture, cream cheese, yogurt, sugar, buttermilk and red food coloring with an electric mixer on medium speed until combined. Add the eggs and egg yolks and beat on low speed just until combined. pour filling into crust. Place your crust pan onto a shallow baking pan.
.Bake at 350°F until 2 inches of outside edge appear set whe shaken gently, about 1 hour.cool cheesecake in pan on a wire cooling rack for 15 minutes. Use a small, metal spatula to loosen cheesecake from sides of pan and cool for 30 more minutes.remove cheesecake from pan and cool for an hour, cover and refridgerate for at least four hours. You may decorate and garnish. (may not need as much cooling time as said but that is the rocommendation.)

Hello! Thanks for stopping by! Hope you're having a very good Friday the thirteenth! It's been getting down to freezing the last couple of nights so our plants our covered. Momma's gearing up about my birthday but I don't really understand why, it happens every year. Anyways, atleast we have a nice three day weekend to celebrate! Today I got to go to school with mom's mom to pick her up and while we waited for her I saw the track boys so I barked and scarred them! BOL, it was funny! Well I'll talk to you tomorrow! Hi Sydney! Thank you so much for coming by to
congratulate me today. I am delighted that I'm the dog of the Day today! Tomorrow I have to go in and have surgery. It will be a partial mastectomy to remove a tumor and find out if I have cancer. Please pray that everything will turn our all right for me, as Mom and Dad are very worried. Woofs, Morgan and the Zoo Crew
