Happy Mothers' Day!
I hope you had a wonderful nice spring day and enjoyed a lovely Mothers' Day. It's beautiful here and I'm so very happy that the cementing of the new patio is all done. That was tiring! Mama worked two nights in a row. But it was worth it. Hard to blog and cement at the same time though.
I helped a lot. We have this huge ground compactor. It's about twice the size of a lawnmower and twice as loud. It didn't bother me one bit. I would stand right next to it as it was pounding the ground. I also helped dig a bit. I also wanted to help smooth out the cement with my paws but mama yelled at me. I managed to sneak onto the new patio the next morning though when mama wasn't looking. Unfortunately it was already hard and I left no footprints. So, what was the point?
We also went on a really fun hike in the mountains last week. We walked for about 6 hours and we found snow up there! I love snow. Especially when it's warm! Mama is kind of limping around now though after hiking and then making the cement form, and then pouring the cement. She makes such a big fuss about things! I'm not tired in the least!
I wanted to thank you again for stopping by to visit Pippin whenever you can and especially on his birthday. He is doing great but mama needs to fix a flat tyre on the cart. Got to order some patches! In the meantime we've taken him out on a few walks. Not many this week though since we've been so busy.
I'm so glad you liked his Birthday Cake video. Wow, he likes cake more than I do! I've never seen a horse lick a plate clean. Thanks for the comment.
Last Sunday was the biggest event of the year for this county. It was the annual rodeo! Everyone from miles around comes for this big day and there's a parade and all kinds of classes.
Eddie won First Place in the parade! I'm so proud of the big handsome boy. He looked so handsome all decked out. I'll upload photos when I can.

mom is trying to get her brother and sisnlaw to keep little Louie. i am not sure i would like that, but oh well. i can make sure he stays in line easy. mom says she is working on them though. they seem more receptive to it tonight. we will let you know. mom said it was great to chat with your mom tonight. oh and since you didnt get any dinner i brought you a whole pork loin. just dont let your mom know. love, hugs, prayers and magical yorkie kisses always, Rufus and momma Kay

Remembering Joanna
Remembering Joanna
All through the month of April we on the Horse Channel want to honour a dear friend who passed away last year. In February her beloved pony, Pixie Dust, also passed away to join her in the next life.

Perhaps some of you remember me mentioning Joanna last year when she died. She was a very special friend. She was bedridden for many years but didn't lose her happy spirit. She was on the HC for 3 years and blogged regularly, always having a kind word for those in trouble. Not once did any of us suspect that she wasn't well! At the age of 34 she passed away peacefully at home.
On my pages I have photos of Joanna in bed being visited by Pixie Dust. She had a wonderful relationship with her pony and made friends easily with all those who were blessed to have her in their lives.

yep mom is always a day late and a dollar short. so we are sorry to say we are a day late. hope your mom had a super birthday. did you get her a birthday burger, hehe. leaving your mom a huge bouquet of roses, peonies and lilies. mom grilled out steaks tonights, wahoooo. So I grabbed a few of them for you tonight.
