CONTESSA-Happy Memorial Day-Remembering our Vets! Hi Apollo - I'm so sorry to hear about your grandpa. Extending my sympathies to you and your family. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank your dad for his military service. That really stinks about his forced retirement. I hope he makes the adjustment to "retired" okay, especially since it wasn't planned at this time. My allergies are definitely rearing its ugly head. I'm still reeling from the effects of my romp in the Atlantic Ocean a year ago. My belly is sort of back to normal color, but the insides of my legs are jet black and I just can't seem to get them to clear up. I think I might get put on antibiotics at my next holistic vet visit next week. We tried changing some supplements and it was left that if that didn't work, the antibiotics would probably be the next course of action. Unfortunately this time of year is bad for allergies, so that doesn't help me, or you, any. Hope your allergies clear up soon. Take care and bark whenever you can. CONTESSA-Happy Memorial Day-Remembering our Vets! Hi Apollo-Sorry it has been so long since I last barked, but mom has been busy with this and that, grandpa was sick again, and now my other grandma is sick and she's supposed to have cataract surgery next week. We all hope she will be better so she can have the surgery as planned. Her other eye is scheduled to be done one month from this one. I really love your profile pic-you are a very handsome GSD. My allergies are really affecting my skin this year. This is the first time that I have actually lost hair in spots, but mom thinks that is finally getting a little bit better. I found out that I am allergic to chlorine, which is added to our city water, so I can no longer have a bath with that water. Mom uses filtered water and heats it up on the stove and I get what she calls "sponge baths". No full on baths for me. She said it takes too much time trying to heat up the water and she said she really misses using the doggy sprayer on me. I tolerated the baths, so this really doesn't hurt my feelings any. Enough about me. How are you and your family? I hope all is well on the home front. Portions of my state have just gotten dumped on with more snow-On May 2nd no less! We didn't get any here, but tonight and tomorrow morning we are to have freezing rain. Nothing here yet, but they really predicted the the morning commute would be bad, so mom wants to get to bed so she can get up early just in case the roads are really bad to allow extra time to drive in to work. She wanted to take off, but she has 3 interviews with prospective employees tomorrow, so she has to be there. So I guess I better sign off. Bark whenever you can - Leaving you a vote. Shelby ♥ I love Apollo (im posting this on your wall too to be sure you get it) Hello My Love!! I had a great day! I was so happy to hear from you, it made my day the best!! I miss and love you very much :) I am going shopping this weekend to pick out some new toys!! We had ice cream sundaes for my birthday. Mommy melts peanut butter and drizzles it on them :) YUM! How was your Dad's party? Tell him I said congratulation on his retirement and to enjoy his days!! I bet you guys will do lots of great things together!! What happen to your neck? Are you feeling better? Well about the puppies.. They are cute and all, I dont mind them until they cry a lot, like when they all get going at once.. hehe.. I give a little bark to try and tell them to settle. If they all cry at once, Annie cries.. BOL.. She is doing great though. I think they are starting to hurt her with their teeth though cause she wants to feed less now. Mom is going to start them on some mush and see how they do, they seem very hungry!! They all get to running around their room and wrestling each other. I dont go in there. I sit on the couch and watch from a distance :) Mommy brings them out to see me sometimes, I dont mind that. Brother Nicky, he goes in there all the time, I think he thinks he is one of them.. haha!! Do you know what he did when they were a couple days old? Maybe I told you, he walked in and peed on their floor!! He thinks he is boss.. haha. That poor little guy is turning black again :( He is back on meds. Its so sad.. Chloe is doing ok, all things considered. She is real close to Mom, she follows her everywhere.. Sissy just went off to school. She gets to swim today.. She is so excited.. I cant believe how far she has come over the last year or two. She is being more like a girl her age and joining activities and everything.. We think she is going to join summer dance again! She is as tall as Mom now .. Can you believe it. She wears a size 9 shoe and size 5 ladies jeans! She is 11.. haha.. I gotta run now, I have to go patrol my yard :) Im so glad to hear from you and I miss you and think about you all they time!! Me and Mommy always talk about you :) I enjoy my Mommy time, she takes me on rides when she goes places to give me a break from the pups :) I love you very much with all my heart!! Shelby ♥ I love Apollo Hello My Sweet Love!!Im so glad you had a nice birthday! It made my whole day to hear from you, I sure do miss you.. I understand not getting on DC much, we dont either but we try and I just had to stop by on your birthday :) Annie is due Saturday/Sunday, so it will be soon now.. She got an xray and the DR said 4 maybe 5 so Mommy is glad she is not having a huge litter for her first time.. She says it will be more manageable. It will be easier on Annie too. Her room is pretty much ready to go now and her box is ready. We have some more decorating and Mom has to get some more picture frames. She is going to print off a couple pictures of you and I and Nicky & Gaby and hang on the walls too.. I think they are all sold and we are planning to keep one. We thought there would be more pups and we have more people then pups but Mom still wants to keep one but she is trying to decide what to do.. I keep pretty close to Annie, Mom thinks I will want to help her with her babies.. haha.. Chloe is doing ok, she has an infection and is having trouble. The DR told Mom yesterday with all that Chloe has wrong we have to pick and choose what to treat.. But we love her any way.. She has made herself a nice part of the family :) Your Pom friend sounds real cute, my Gramma wants one of those :) Im so sorry to hear about your Mommy.. Please give her a hug and kiss for me.. Im sorry to hear about your Dad, I was sure praying he would be ok at his job for a while yet.. Maybe he will be able to find something he enjoys doing with his free time now. I think that is so cool the new machine your Mom got!! Wow.. I cant wait to see what she makes with it, I bet its going to be great!! My Mom has a hard enough time figuring out her sewing machine.. BOL.. I cant believe how your working to help your Mom & Dad, that is really nice.. Thats great that you pick up on them needing help and you take care of them. Did you have a birthday party for Khaleesi? Im glad she is doing good for you all.. My paws are for sure crossed, all 4 of them!! Why wasnt there any service for your Grandpa? Chloe has her good and bad days.. She sure sticks close to Mom anymore though.. She really picked Mom as her human.. :) Chloe sleeps in with Mom, not on the bed cause she cant get up there anymore but right by her on the floor.. When Mom wakes and gets up some how Chloe knows it and wakes up too and looks for Mom.. Mom made her a real nice bed beside hers.. I of course sleep with Mom, right up against her :) But I have to be getting ready for bed now.. Mom has to get up early.. You will have to watch on FB for the birth, Mommy is going to try and post through out the birth to keep everyone up to date :) Im love and miss you very much and am so glad I heard from you..
