How We Met?
I met Rocky when he was about 8 or 9 weeks old. His owners asked me to train him. They also asked me to show him. I trained Rocky, but did not show him as conformation was not my thing at the time. Over the next couple of years I continued to work with Rocky. He stayed with me for extended periods of time for training, and dog-sitting. The owners got divorced, and the husband whom was always my friend needed help caring for Rock full time. And, I needed Rock for my training business as a "dummy dog." Things grew from there. My friend went overseas and needed long term care for Rocky during those trips. My friend also lives in a small apartment in an urban area and Rocky needed more exercise and companionship. I also hired a handler to show Rocky as well, and I was responsible for getting Rocky vetted, groomed, and taken to show. So, Rock stayed with me. From there it just grew to where Rocky lives with me full time ad I take care of his needs, and my friend supports Rocky's show career.
In short, we share the Rockstar but I have full tme custody because I am around everyday and can take Rocky to the park, train him, exercise him, and have him around other dogs. I LOVE Rocky, and he is my total life. He has been a blast to have with me everyday. Plus, my other dogs are extremely attached to him, as he is to them.
