How We Met?
When my dad said we could get a dog, I decided I wanted to look at animal shelters for the right one. I never trusted pet store puppies (particularly because a friend had a very bad experience with one), and I knew I wanted a mutt - I've always found them so adorable!
I found the ADOPT Pet Shelter website, and little Carlotta was on the homepage. They were looking for support for her, because the surgery and therapy she needed in her shattered leg was expensive. I fell in love with her story (especially about how she was so strong, and so determined to live that she dragged herself onto the porch of a funeral home for shelter from the rain), and I needed to see her. We visited her at her foster home, and were totally delighted - we picked the first dog we saw! She came home with us two weeks later.
