IN LOVING MEMORY OF MY "JD DOGGIE" 5/8/07-5/22/16...You came to Florida from NY in July 2007 as a Birthday gift to my son Jesse (JD = Jesse’s Dog) from my brother. You grew up with Jesse, it was great the way you looked at him with love ..up until the day we had to say goodbye. You brought so much joy into our lives the last 9 years. Yes, you gave your Ma Ma some heartaches but I would do it all over again to have you back. I took care of you the best I could. The only thing I never saw coming was that stupid cancer growing on your heart.. came so quick..and took you so quick from us ..for that I am deeply sorry..... .. JD, you will be more than missed, not just by me and Jesse, but your two sons, Jager and Sarge. The house will never be the same, I will hear you in every room… I will miss you JD, I will miss our daily routine, I will miss your slobber kisses, I will miss your reaction when I asked “Where’s Jesse?”, I will miss your drool on the walls, and TV, I will miss your goofy puppy walk, I will miss you when I vacuum: (the only dog who liked the vacuum), I will miss your pouting, I will miss "Bathy Time", I will miss your beautiful bark, I will miss you laying by my feet while I worked, I will miss your big brown eyes, I will miss your heart beat when you laid next to me,. I will miss all these things about you and so much more... I know deep down you will not be totally gone.. you will always be alive in my heart and my memories.. I have the best memories with you punk. Run free JD – I am sure Abby Girl is waiting for you, give her a big hug for me. The two of you can run and play like the old days, you are both young again and not in pain. RIP, I love you JD –You will never be forgotten…… You Will Always Be Loved…. until we meet again..

How We Met?

BEYOND THE RAINBOW As much as I loved the life we had and all the times we played, I was so very tired and knew my time on earth would fade I saw a wondrous image then of a place that's trouble-free Where all of us can meet again to spend eternity. I saw the most beautiful Rainbow, an on the other side Were meadows rich and beautiful - lush and green and wide And running through the meadows as far as the eye could see Were animals of every sort as healthy as could be My own tired, failing body was fresh and healed and new And I wanted to go run with them, but I had something left to do I needed to reach out to you, to tell you I'm alright That this place is truly wonderful, then a bright glow pierced the night "Twas the glow of many candles, shining bright and strong and bold And I knew then that it held your love in its brilliant shades of gold. For although we may not be together in the way we used to be We are still connected by a cord no one can see So whenever you need to find me, we're never far apart If you look beyond the Rainbow and listen with your heart.

Guardian Angels/This month honoring Angel JD

Guardian Angels/This month honoring Angel JD Skipper came to live with us a month after Poochie passed. Skipper was born in 2006 and passed the 14th of last month from congestive heart failure. We loved Skipper. This little story is about his first day at Rainbow Bridge. I think it probably went something like this.......... His fur was wet from their tears. Where was he? It was beautiful! Sunshine green trees & flowers everywhere. To his right was the biggest rainbow he'd ever seen and he could breathe..he felt strong! But in the distance he still heard them crying. "I hope he knew we loved him!" "Yes, I knew I love you too" He cried! "Somehow I think Skipper knew honey." " Hello Skipper welcome to the bridge. He turned around there was a dog, a beautiful dog with big brown eyes that seemed to look into Skippers soul. "Please tell me where I am & how to get back home." "This is your home now." "No, they love me don't you understand I'm finally loved & I love them to...I must tell them." "You just did." "He heard you. His heart heard you." "They loved me." "Yes they did." "I need to go home." "Sorry you have to stay here Skipper." Tears filled the little dog's eyes."I bite them." "I know it was all I could do to keep from biting you especially since I brought you together." " But why?" Skipper asked. "Because they had lost their dog of nearly 13 years & I knew you could help each other love heals." " That's why I have to go so they won't hurt." Tears filled Skipper's eyes. "There are other dogs who are helping them. Your time on earth was finished but we'll see them again." "When" Skipper asked? "When Jesus calls them home. We'll meet them and we...along with others will walk across the bridge into heaven where we'll never be parted. Until then we'll watch over them." Skipper looked into the dog's big brown eyes. "I just met you but I feel a connection with you.The dog smiled at Skipper. "Sorry I didn't introduce myself. My name's Poochie...I'm your guardian Angel. You're my first assignment I knew just who you needed! Now let's try out your new wings."

Guardian Angels/This month honoring Angel JD Cinnamon's page number is 54165. She's been on DC since January 2008 and has been DOTD 4 times. She was the first dog in our family. We'd always had cats before, and she grew up around cats. She was only a couple years old when our one cat, Angel Gizmo, crossed the Rainbow Bridge at the age of 19. Cinnamon was a year old when her kitty brother Shadow joined the family. They got along great together. Cinnamon was known to "call" Shadow down by barking at him when he'd jump on the dining room table when he wasn't supposed to. Cinnamon was the sweetest girl who loved to go for walks, go for car rides, and chase squirrels, as well as being near her favorite humans. She was an attention hog who loved meeting new people and new dogs. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge on February 21, 2014 from cancer (a tumor we knew nothing about until it was too late). Having her was a learning experience, but a happy one. We miss her always greeting us at the front door with a toy in her mouth and her tail wagging, ready to go for a walk. We miss her peeking out the window when our car pulls up in the driveway. We miss her laying in our lap or next to us on the couch. We miss her happy-go-lucky personality. We miss her, and always will.
