How We Met?
We had just gotten a dalmatian puppy a few months prior, when we saw someone who had to give up their female dalmatian pup, of approximately the same age, due to a change in circumstance. Our heart went out to the pup and we decided to essentially 'rescue' this pup.
We spoke with the owners and they gave us their background as well as that of the pup. We travelled about 200 miles round trip to meet them and when we got there, everything was different!! The owners were yelling at their child and the pup to get out of the car. The pup itself was seemingly underfed and very people shy...but she loved Dora!! They have been inseparable ever since!!
We just had to take this pup and give it the loving home it deserved!!
When we first brought her home, she would space herself from us. She didn't mind us being around, but she didn't really want us cuddling her like we did our other pup. It was very evident that she came from a neglectful environment. We have been patient with her and have given her all sorts of love and encouragement and she has since come around to us nicely!! She has recently began coming up to us to cuddle and get affection!! We are very happy with her progress!!
We have not regretted our decision for a minute!!
