My Sweet Sweet Boy, You came into my life 5 years ago today a scared fragile pup and neither of us knew the battle we would have to fight...a battle that we lost yesterday, but you were such a trooper through it all. And today you are spending your first birthday in Heaven. My hope is that you know how very much you are loved and how much you are missed. For such a quiet unassuming pup, your absence sure is loud. On Oct 16, my new Mom got a phone call from a vet clinic in LaPlace. There is a veterinary internal medicine specialist there who has treated several of Mama's babies. I had been hit by a car and dumped there Sept. 16 They had treated all my injuries and were trying to find me a home. Someone had "adopted" me, but brought me back in only 8 hrs. saying just that "it wasn't working out." Then, as my new Mama put it "They called the biggest sucker they know." Mama came over the next day to meet me. She took me to our regular dr. and brought me home to meet my new sisters. I still have a bit of a limp, but may always have that. I had seizures for almost a week after being hit by the car, but have been seizure free for almost a month now, so we are hopeful those are all in the past now. I had a pretty rocky start, but think I have landed in a great home with a great family and am very very happy to be here.

Well I was kind of like Mary's little lambs...except instead of wagging my tail behind me I just dropped poo behind me. Angel Ben and I tried, but we just couldn't get any snow to Mama and the girls, but at least we got rid of their rain and sent them some sunshine. Oh, Mama wishes every time she takes the girls to therapy that they had therapy for her too. I know Tess would appreciate some snow...and Mama would too. It has been a long long time since she has seen snow...and she was the biggest kid on the block when it snowed. She loves snow. That girl is running around like a young un again. She is even trying to jump in the car by herself again. She hasn't done that in years. Now Tess is going for her feet and ear. Much more of this and Mama is going to need therapy. They are predicting snow flurries for Mama Thursday morning. I think I am going to round up some more of the angels and see if we can blow some her way. It has been a long time since Mama saw snow...and Tess has never seen it.
