Hi Peaka
Hope everyone is doing well. We're ok here. Mom and Big Sis have been busy lately.
Mom's still got the cleaing bug and is still working on cleaning out her closets. I try to help by checking out the stuff she drags out, but she just tells me to get out of the way.
Last weekend Big Sis went to the Busch Gardens amusement park with her boyfriend and his little girl with the year-long free passes Big Sis won last week. They stayed all day Saturday, from open until close and had a great time. The little girl loved it and wanted to come back the next day, but Big Sis and her boyfriend were so worn out, that wasn't going to happen. They may go back this weekend, though. Then last Sunday, Big Sis celebrated her birthday early with her dad, then did the Mother's Day thing with Mom later in the day. Then Tuesday was Big Sis's birthday. She had a nice day then. But her boyfriend wasn't able to celebrate it with her since his daughter was sick. So he brought Big Sis a gift and cake to her at work the next day.
Yesterday Mom, Big Sis, and Big Brother held a yard sale. That was fun. When I was allowed outside, I got to meet some people, and I barked at a couple of cats that were hanging out next door.

Hi Peaka
It's me Maya!
I had to go to the doctor this morning. Yesterday afternoon I was acting really agitated and hyper and wanting out constantly only to frantically eat grass!I made myself throw up once with it. Later I developed a bit of a cough and acted as if something was stuck in my throat. This was all after chewing on those stupid Hartz dental bone chews me and Chewie love the day before! They are plastic, what Mommy calls "Bumpy Bones" because they have bumps all over the middle of the bone.Mommy couldn't find anything when she stuck her finger down there to feel, but I continued to cough periodically thru the night so Mommy called the vet this morning and took me in. I am still eating and finally went poop once yesterday in the evening. The doctor checked me over and didn't think there was anything stuck in my throat. Well me and Chewie really give those bones what for and sometimes eat some of that stupid plastic and it always poops out. The doctor thinks I probably scratched up my throat with the plastic and it may be not only sore but inflamed. She gave me a shot and two different pills for throwing up and for inflamation and I have to take them all. I feel better cause I am resting like I normally do instead of frantically pacing the floor. Mommy and Daddy threw away the chew bones and said no more, EVER! It was scary. Even Chewie didn't pester me he just would come over and smell me and whine! He really does care about me! We had to wait at the doctors office because a doggie had come in just before me that had been hit by a car. It didn't make it. Mommy said that is why she wants me and Chewie to come when she calls us! It was so sad and scary, too.Iam resting now and Chewie is guarding me so nothing happens to me. He is a good big brother. He said he is too busy watching over me to make sure I am okay to blog tonight so I am doing the blogging while he watches over me. (smiles) Nothing too funny has happened since everybody has been concerned and taking care of me since yesterday afternoon. I should be okay before too long!
Hope you have a nice weekend. We are just staying home so I can rest.

Sorry your mom is having computer issues, we know they are not fun. Hope it gets fixed soon.
PHEEWWW! It sure has been a long time since I barked. Unfortunately we are going to have to C/P to catch up. Well mom's trip to North Carolina went well but I sure did miss everyone. She was thrown for a loop when she heard my food was one that was recalled. She couldn't check the bag because it was in FL and she was in NC! The worst part was I had already eaten 95% of the bag! She called the vet where I was staying and that opened a whole new can of worms. All in all it worked out. I did have a bag of food that was recalled but they said at the pet store there was salmonella in the factory not in the food, it was a voluntary recall just in case to protect all us critters. None of the food tested so far has shown any signs of contamination. Mom is real happy with Diamond pet food for making that decision.
I am glad to be home now and laying on the guilt trip pretty thick! BOL I am being quite picky with my food, and moping around, something I do every time mom leaves me and makes me board somewhere else. I end up getting all sorts of treats on my food and lots of extra attention. Mom knows what I am doing but she is nice enough to play along.
It has been pretty warm and muggy here with rain too! I have been getting my walks again so I am happy. Last night was real short because of bad weather. I see a palm frond getting ready to fall and mom said this time she is going to be prepared before she even let's me out. I probably won't even act funny like when she is not prepared. I guess I am just a little stinker.
Hopefully we can get back to a normal routine again and be able to bark with our friends regularly. Hope you enjoy your day. Pawed a vote! Love, Sugar

Hi Peaka,
Sorry for the c/p, but being that I was offline, I got a little behind, so this will catch me up (I hope!) I had a great time on vacation, with the exception of my allergies getting worse, but we found out yesterday that I am reacting to my plastic kennel! So dad went out and bought me a new metal one today, which I'm not sure I like, but I guess I will adjust. I really don't have a choice, I guess. The good news is that my ear infection is cleared up and the vet said they are the best they have ever looked. Our vacation took us to Blue Eye, MO and we hiked in the woods, but quit due to all the woodticks there. Mom & dad gave up counting how many they took off me and dad. Mom only had 2. How lucky was she?? Mom & dad took in a couple of shows, which they enjoyed. They found a nice park where we hiked (no ticks), nice paved walkways. After Blue Eye, we traveled to Aurora, IL to visit friends and to meet their 7 month old mixed breed dog, Penny. Penny is a handful, she kept body slamming me and all I did was growled back and slapped at her with my paws. We romped in their backyard and then inside chased each other around the dining room table. All in all, we got along. We spent 4 days there (we stayed in a hotel). Mom had asked for a 1st floor room, but ended up on 3rd floor, so they upgraded us to a suite, boy was that nice! I didn't mind going up 3 flights of stairs for my potty breaks with such a nice room. We have stayed there before and they have a manmade pond with a nice paved walking trail that is one mile, so mom & I walked it every day at least once and one day we did it 3 times. Vacations are fun, but it's always good to be home. Now it's back to normal, except dad's work schedule changed for this week and mom might have to work extra hours since she was gone, but it's as close to normal as it gets around here. I think that sums up my vacation. Thanks to all who dropped by to wish me a happy anniversary. I had completely forgotten about it so it was nice to be remembered. I'm glad you are my furfriends. Hey sweet Bestie Peaka ♥
Thank you so much for my surprise DOTD yesterday, May 7th! I had a great time in the spotlight. I got an extra tummy rub from Mom, she told me I'm a pretty girl ~ Said good job on DOTD Ruby!!
