She was abused and then abandoned by her previous owners when she was a few months old. They left her and her mother for two weeks without food and the two dogs came to us. When they returned, her mother went back to the original owners but Tiny was here to stay. If you want to see the full story, please look at her scrapbook.Check out our new videos on YouTube. Look for the username PringlePoirot. We have parrot, dog, goat, and mini horse movies.Tiny's last blog is posted on the right. It makes me cry everytime I read it. She died at 8:15am on the 10th of April, 2009.She got weaker and colder as the night of the 9th went on and I awoke every few minutes to check on her and make sure she was okay. She needed cleaning a few times because she was leaking diarrhea and she was getting colder but was unable to shiver. I am glad that I didn't sleep a lot because it meant that I was able to spend my last night with her petting her and keeping her comfortable. She was shutting down and that was quite obvious but, being in denial, I was still hoping for the best. It became even more obvious when I took her out to go potty and she didn't go. She was always so eager to please and would do anything I asked of her that when she couldn't do that I knew it was over.In the morning I went to Church. I had made her comfortable and put an electric blanket on her because she was so cold. When I came back she had just died and I closed her eyes. I am heartbroken and more than grief sticken and I am very sad that I couldn't be with her at the last moment but at least she died in our bed and looked quite peaceful. I will always have the memory of finding her etched into my mind. My whole world fell apart at that instant.I buried her soon afterwards. My grief gave me the push to dig harder and deeper and there is lots of grief so her grave is deep. It is also filled with my tears. I couldn't help it. Then I carried Tiny out of our bedroom. I had already wrapped her in one of my sweaters and I buried her in it. It felt wrong to put the dirt right on her.I have moments where I feel alright and then suddenly I am hit by a massive wave of grief. I know what people mean by going insane with grief or dying of grief. I keep thinking that I need to make sure Tiny is okay and then I remember. In fact, the very last night I drifted off to sleep and I dreamt that Tiny had started to move her legs and was looking more alert. I was so happy. And then I woke up.
