My Surprise!
Oh boy what a great day! I got up early and logged on mom's computer and I got the best surprise! I couldn't believe it - a surprise DOTD for me! Thank you everyone for this special day. We've been away from Dogchannel for awhile but recently started coming back. It is so nice to be visiting with so many old friends and meeting so many new friends! Thank you again everyone for making this day extra special and for putting a smile on me and my mom's face! I hope everyone has a great day and I look forward to visiting with you all again soon! My Mommy calls me Miss Maya a lot. Doesn't it make you feel Pretty and Special when they put the Miss before your name?

It's been such a busy day for us! I went in the car with Mommy and Daddy cause I had my free vet appointment today. I was a real good girl. Poor Chewie didn't get to go this time, but he understood. He is so smart and cool! He is an awesome brother.
We are supposed to get 1-3 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow and maybe bad road conditions and Mommy and Daddy are supposed to go see Aunt Mindi tomorrow. Hope we get the snow but not the bad roads! I want my new Mommy and Daddy safe!!
I was on the local news this morning, too! They have a segment called Sammy's Stars and people send in their pet pictures and then they show one every day as a Sammy's Star and tell them the name of the people and, in my case, all my siblings (Chewie, the 3 cats and the 2 birds) Mommy emailed the news lady with my picture yesterday and she emailed Mommy back and put me on this morning! Chewie and Anakin have both been on there in the past, too. Mommy is good at promoting us!! It is really my day.
I even got a great report at the vets and my shots are up to date until December so I didn't even need a shot or anything! Yay, What a day!!

P.S. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Chewie said if I got to do the voting and bogging so I could say thanks, I had to give everyone Puppy Kisses and Tail Wags from Chewie, too!! So there! I did it!

``Adopt don't buy.`` My name is Byron, I am an English Springer Spaniel from San Antonio, TX. I was to be euthanized within the hour when I was rescued by English Springer Rescue of America. My foster mom thought I had been on my own for at least 6 months, after 3 months of being fostered, I was ready for a forever home. My forever momma was looking on the English Springer Rescue America web site, saw my photo, looked at my sad eyes, momma's heart captured me. I now chase squirrels and enjoy walks, including walking in the rescue parade at ESSFTA National Specialty. I hope you're all doing fine and staying warm this winter. It's too cold here! I apologize because this is a cut and paste blog. However I want to reach as many of my friends as I can tonight to get two messages out. I tried to do this last night but sometimes mama's brain doesn't work properly anymore and I couldn't.
