Hi Zoosie
It wasn't COMPLETELY fair that I lost blogging priviledges yesterday because I didn't listen when Daddy called me to come into the house and kept running all over the place! Like a friend of mine said, how often do THEY not listen to US when we try to tell them something??? A lot of times we try to ask to go outside, especially me, Chewie. I will hit the bells on the front door and whine and Daddy will say "knock it off, Chewie. You don't have to go out". Now, how does HE know? I think I know better. If we would end up peeing or pooping in the house because HE DIDN'T TAKE US OUT, in spite of the fact that WE WERE ASKING HIM TO, who would be in trouble? You got it!! We would take the fall and it would actually be their fault....I'm just sayin'
Sometimes I try to get Mommy or Daddy to play with me, especially Daddy cause he plays better than Mom. Sometimes he plays with me but sometimes he ignores me and tells me he is trying to work on his computer or he is busy in his workshop. I am trying to talk to him and he just ISN'T PAYING ATTENTION!! They never get punished if they don't listen to us!! Why are we supposed to ALWAYS listen to them?? Just not fair!!

We will have a very exciting adventure tonight. Shadowfax has hinted at something miraculous but it's hard to guess what's on his mind.
We are camped out in the plains and everyone is relaxed as the last of the sun's dying rays light up our world. Do we want to sleep? Or is the promise of an adventure enough to pique our interest yet again?
Okay, you know the answer to that! We are going on another ride! The horses pause from their blissful grazing and look up at us expectantly. Shall we go?
We mount and are ready to speed away into the twilight. There is a sense of urgency. We don't want to miss out on anything.
We near a copse of tall trees and see a mare lying on the ground. She seems in some discomfort but we go no nearer. Someone questions aloud what we are doing there.
A few minutes and we can see two tiny little hooves from under her tail. Our hearts skip a beat. We are about to witness a birth! Two pushes from the mare and the new baby foal slips out and onto the ground. He is covered in a whitish translucent sac. She quickly pulls the sac open so he can breathe.
He's lying there without any motion. We feel concern. Suddenly he lifts his tiny, perfect head, and looks at his mama. We can feel the connection. She cleans him up and he starts his attempt to get up on his spindly legs.
He folds one front leg under him. Okay, got that one right. He folds the second leg under him. Wheeee! Down he goes. Got to try that again! He works at it for a few minutes. It's hard work! Finally he's up on all fours, trembling and swaying. Kerplunk! He's down again. A few seconds later he's up and looking for his first warm meal. Ah, success!
The miracle of a birth never ceases to amaze me.
I'm sorry I missed blogging last night. We had our very own birth here and I was up till 1am just working with that and other things that got waylaid by the event. One of our does gave birth to twins yesterday. They are SOOOO adorable! She did pretty well despite the second baby being a breech birth. It was also her very first time as she's a youngster. I've posted some photos of Pollen and Nectar on Pippin's and Melian's pages.

Awww shucks vote #3501 just missed it :(! How are you doing today buddy? Did you get to watch the video yet? I have just been lying around today, mom went grocery shopping and bought so much it didn't all fit in the trunk. They sure do eat a lot of food! BOL I only get to eat twice a day and only what they give me. My skin sisters are always eating! Mom does give me some of what she is eating though so I guess I shouldn't complain. How are you doing today? I am doing good, it is nice and sunny today! Carmel's paw is a lot better now. We still do not know what it was, but he is walking fine now. Mom just kept some ice on it every now and then and he is able to walk, run and enjoy his walks! Thank you for your thoughts and prayers =) I hope you have a great day and bark at you later! Yep, my neighbors dog came through the fence at me the first day we had our fence up and I was free to run in the yard. He has done it at least three times, but now mom and dad put up a solid fence panel on that side. She still walkes me on a leash in the yard though. I guess at some point she will relax. So now whenever a dog is coming towards me I get all crazy, I want to play and have that playful yelp but then when they get too close I get nervouse and start to defend myself whether I need to or not. Mom is hoping I get over it some day. I am sorry you don't get to go on walks anymore, that stinks huh? It is probably best that way though, we don't want you overdoing anything. I hope that medicine works during thunderstorms too. That would be great if you could just lie back and relax during a thunder boomer. Hope you have sweet dreams tonight. Love, Sugar
