CHEWIE 210570 `n` MAYA 226099 ...Please pray for Chewie and Maya's Grandma ( Laurie's Mom )! The power of our Prayer Chain and the pictures and cards from FC members got Auntie Mindi out of a coma and then gave her the will and incentive to get better and live last year. Now we need prayers for Grandma to regain the eyesight she has lost and not lose her sight completely. Grandma has Macular Degeneration (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macular_degeneration). There are blood vessels forming under the macula and they are bleeding. Her eye has a gray area in the middle she can't see. The doctor gave her several shots in her eye to hopefully stop the bleeding and said he doesn't know if when the blood is into the body how much if any of her sight she will get back. Mommy and Daddy have to take her back in a month. absorbed. Please pray for my grandma! Thank you cause I am worried about her eyesight! ~~ Hugs, Chewie and Maya, too (and Mom Laurie) Thank you so very much!

Irene is supposed to hit us in the NorthEast ...

Sometime this weekened, either on Saturday night, Sunday or Monday morning. Please keep us up here in the NorthEast in your prayers. It would be very much appreciated. The national news says that Mass. and New york might get hit but nobody talks about anything above Boston so we're not sure how hard we'll get hit. But our local newscaster said that he believes the worst we'll get is some power outages. Sending prayers to all those in the Bahamas and those who have already been hit, and those in Irene's path. ~Ruby, Missi, Butler

We are in Irene's path

Irene is supposed to hit us around 8am Sunday morning. They have already made mandatory evacuations for Cape May and Atlantic counties and I am about 2 minutes away from Atlantic county. My 90 year old aunt that is now living with me is a little worried. I will spend today and tormorrow morning putting things back in the shed so they don't become projectiles in the wind. Hope everyone in Irene's path stays safe. Faith and Lisa

Looks like Irene may be tracking westward

That means it will have a greater impact on the Washington DC area. Riley and I are pupsitting for a friend's dog and may just head to her house to ride this out. I am on the third floor in an apartment with no basement. Charlotte's humans have a house with a full basement and they live west of us. First a 5.8 earthquake on Tuesday and a 4.5 aftershock in the wee hours this morning. Now a hurricane.... suddenly wondering why we left CA for DC...oh yeah, to stay employed and be near family!

Come visit me, Riley #505
