Thank you so much for stopping by my page with congratulations for my surprise win for dotd. That was soo cool to see myself in the spotlight. I'm used to feeling like I "should" be in the spotlight but it's not every day that it happens. And then the day after Acorn our squirrel (SAC 188686) won cotd too. So we got a double celebration.
I celebrated by going black berry picking. First we walked all the way there (mama didn't walk she drove Pippin) and then while the humans picked berries I ran back and forth along the whole patch (it's big!) keeping an eye on things. I was so tired that I opted not to go with mama that evening for my usual spar with the big horses. Mama drove Eddie and they had a great time. Mama is still not riding but she might start again this week. As long as she doesn't fall off again!
Painkillers are one of the greatest inventions and she's getting back to being more normal. Yesterday afternoon we went on a nice bike ride and I waded in the river. It felt great to stretch my legs and then wade in the cool water.
How was your weekend? I know that yesterday was a special day for us to remember the sad events of 9/11/01.

Riley, school is out for the summer, nonnie went to the hair dresser today, at 12:30 p.m. lots of school buses and high school and middle school guys and gals everywhere. Children already playing baseball in the middle of our street, we have 2 parks so close the closest one is small park with a great baseball field, on the trials we like to watch baseball too. Hi Riley
Wow we are so far behind in thanking everyone for my DOTD and Happy Birthday visits. We have a new little sister and mom has been so busy with her. Not only is she new but then she got really sick and mom didn't have much time for us to get on DC. Sorry for the c/p but we have so many to do mom thought it would be easier. Thanks again and come see me.
