How We Met?

After my last 2 shelties went to Rainbow Bridge, my sister needed a dog as a companion for her dog, so we went to Yankee Chihuahua Rescue. Paco was available & it was love at first sight even tho he was larger than the pure chihuahuas.

Thank you for being a good friend. It's through friends like you that the hard times are made easier. Thank you so much for your kind words of sympathy for our loss of Acorn and our kitty, CC. We miss her, er, well mama misses her, and we know that she is together with her good friend Tiny again. They were a fun pair and God only knows what they're up to right now! That is so sad about your squirrels. I bet our Acorn is playing with them right now. Or at least bossing them around. Thank you also for voting for me in the Dog Names contest. I really appreciate it! Here's a vote for you. I hope you had a nice weekend and wish you a wonderful new week.

How are you doing? Mama and I have not been on the channels lately. I hope the new year is going well for you. I wanted to stop by and wish all my friends a happy new year but as you know, our year started out very very sadly and I haven't been able to bring myself to spread the harsh news. On New Year's Eve, Acorn's life was cut short by a careless driver. We found her on our driveway. Single lane, wooded, private, gravel road. No one should be driving fast enough on it to hit anything! Our driveway is the right of way for several neighbours. We lost a dog years ago exactly the same way. It makes me both simultaneously very sad and very angry. Mama was so attached to that cute little squirrel. Acorn taught us that squirrels are extremely smart and adept at twisting people around their little fingers. We fed her breakfast every morning and often throughout the day she'd climb on the humans and beg for a treat. It was just so awful. At 1.5 years old she was in the prime of her life and we were prepared to have her around for at least another 14 years. And her first babies would have been born this spring! We miss her and it's hard to write this without a few tears. Thank you for stopping by my page with your kind words of condolence for Acorn's passing. It means a lot and really does help to know we have friends who care. It's so sad about what happened to your squirrels. I answered her blogs last night and will eventually get back to mine properly too. I hope things are better for you than they are for us. Wishing you all the best in the new year. Can you believe that January is already half over? Here's a vote for you.

Vote Honey 218255 DOTM January!

KEN-L RATION Hero 1985 Villa, a black Newfoundland, was from Villas, New Jersey. Villa was a half grown puppy when during a severe blizzard, she started to bark from her dogrun. After several minutes she leapt over the five foot fence and ran across to the neighbors yard. The snow was so thick, that visibility was zero, and the winds were howling at 60 miles per hour. The neighbors 11 year old girl, Andrea Anderson, was out looking at the storm when the wind blew her across the yard. Unable to see, she had become stuck in a drift, and was unable to free herself. Villa heard her cries for help, escaped her cage, and found Andrea. Villa had to circle the child several times before she could manage to free herself from the drift. Villa, then led Andrea safely to her home. Dogs are hero's! But we don't have to tell you that!No more bad fish vote Mr. Pish for President 2012! Today's DOTD is a surprise so please don't tell! Just go on over to page #225615 and vote! Honey will be gone this week and next week to. Let's all vote for her and show our support! Be safe and happy! Love ya! Alabama Gang rallying for Honey!

Hi Paco, (Aaliyah, and Mom)!

I really like the red jacket that you have on in your webpage photo! Was that a Christmas gift? It looks really nice on you. I noticed Aaliyah had a new coat, too! I hope that you all had a very nice New Year's and are enjoying the first month of 2012! We had a great New Year's even though Mom and Dad stayed home and we all snuggled on their bed! Mom and Dad said that they have more fun staying in and watching the ball drop in NY on television nowdays. They said they are too old to go dancing and it was too cold to go downtown for "First Night Winchester". We were happy because we got to spend the time with them. It was good to hear that your Mom's friends are doing better now. I see that you all got some snow to play in! We got some snow but it was only 2 1/2 inches, and it was gone by the next day! Parts of Northern Virginia got snow yesterday which changed into rain and made driving hazardous, but we only had a sprinkle of snow for about 3 seconds! You will definitely need those jackets in all the cold weather and snow that you all have in MA! Well, have a nice evening, and I hope the remainder of your week will be a good one! I am pawing you a vote! Love & Hugs, Pongo (& Gaby, Hope, Arial, and Mom Vickie)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Hope your Mommy's Cousin is doing much better. Thanks for stopping by to check in on us, while we drove to Florida. A Christmas Vote wrapped with a Red Velvet Bow:) We are settled in our RV in Aripeka Florida. The trip down was so stressful! Brie and Bentley both wanted to sit in the passenger seat and blocked Mommy's view of the side mirror for changing lanes. Not good! At times Bentley was sitting on top of Brie. They panted and drooled all over the passenger window and door...what a mess! Tyler lay on the floor by Mommy's side, being a good boy. We never drank a drop of water till we stopped for gas or pee breaks. Once we stopped for the night, we crashed out on the bed and sofa. 5 days on the road and we finally arrived!!! Lots of things to learn about and set up. Last night our fridge door hinge broke off as Mommy was closing it and CRASH the door and everything on the door shelves were on the floor. What a big mess. The parts will take a week to get here from MI, so we hope it doesn't fall off entirely till then. We have been to Burger King twice for a cone in a cup...yum yum:) Going for rides in our car again has been so much fun. Temps in the upper 70's and low 80's, so we have to say in the RV when Mommy goes shopping. There are green things growing in the grass that like to stick to our fur..Brie had them all over face today..hee hee:) Poor Mommy! Our Christmas lights are up, a little tree at the foot of our bed and Christmas cards from friends adorn the cupboards above our sofa. All the humans had a Christmas party last Friday and we watched from our windows. You know what else we like to watch from the windows..CATS! They are all over the place roaming freely..not fare! The Roosters and Chickens used to roam about, but Elvis one of the Roosters hurt his leg, so now they have to stay penned up. Bentley was admiring them the first morning after we arrived:) His First Chicken ever. Mommy took a video chasing one ...going Bwock Bwock Bwock. Silly Mommy! Our RV has a table with bench seats and not very comfortable for her to type at. The cushions keep sliding out and not great back support. Because of this, we will only be on DC for holidays and to share pictures. We sure miss you and all our pals on DC!! When we go back to Canada in April, the RV park near the place we swim doesn't have WIFI. Such a change in routine for all of us. We want to Wish you and your Family a Very Merry Christmas and the Happiest of New Years. Praying for all those less fortunate in the world and for all our pals who are sick or have sick family members. Take Care, Safe Holidays and Lots of Golden Kisses! Love Always from Santa Buddies Brie,Tyler,Bentley and Auntie Sandy

Hola! Paco!

Well, my name almost wasn't! First they called me "Kippy", then Daddy changed it to "Gibbs" (I prefer "Special Agent Gibbs" (NCIS) BOL! But then for some wierd reason, Momma couldn't remember Gibbs, so she started calling me Garth! So I almost wasn't the Special Agent I am aspiring to be! Momma got used to it, so now I am Special Agent Gibbs...and let me tell you, The Devil is an Affenpinscher! BOL! I am really smart, but Momma says there is really a downside to that because I get into everything and get bored easily! So most of the day my sister, Keely and I are playing and playing until Momma puts a stop to the noise! Oh, I have so much fun with my new brothers and sisters!!! I love them all, and they love ME! Cliffy, Daddy's new Guide Dog is going back to the Guide Dog Foundation tomorrow, for "fine tuning". He needs more indoor manners. He is a wonderful Guide Dog, but doesn't know his basic Guide Dog manners, which is the fault of his puppy walkers, for not teaching him! They are both teachers, too! Geesh! So they will come pick him up tomorrow. Momma and Daddy feel sooooo bad, but it has to be done, and he will be back, we just don't know WHEN. He won't get back here until someone is sent out this way (around Buffalo) since the school is in Long Island, which is forever away, Momma says. She wants him home with us for Christmas. We sure hope it happens. Love, Special Agent Gibbs ♥
