Hi Angel Chewie!
Wow! Mom has been busy cleaning house today cause we have company coming tomorrow. We just signed on to DC and had the MOST wonderful surprise - DOTD!!!
Thank you all so much for voting for me! This is such an honor! You guys are the best! Mom made a bunch of peanut butter treats and I am leaving some for all of you!
I'm also leaving a vote for all my special friends on DC!

There being so many of us the whole bag in GONE. She also make us some whole make ones and they just come out of the oven. Can't wait until they cool and we can eat them up too. Sorry about the C&P today, Mom was overwhelmed with all the friends who came by and voted me DOTD on Thursday. Thank you so much; it truly was a big surprise for our family! Mom has had Mono for the past week and is still trying to work a little, so she hasn’t been on DC as much as she’d like. Lucky she came by on Thursday for my big day! My brother Blitzen got DOTD last year on 2/18 for Mom’s BDay. Today she reposted his plaque that Goldie made for her. We love our special friends here! I’m doing well adjusting to my new home. I’ve learned where to potty and I go out the dog door all by myself. I have learned “sit” and “down”. Blitzen and I go to work with Dad every day (he is remodelling a house in our neighbourhood). We play in the yard and watch Dad work, and when we are tired there is a big featherbed in the back of the Jimmy for us to go take a nap. Mom comes and picks us up in the early afternoon after she finishes her appointments (Mom sells insurance). I gave my Kennel Cough to Blitzen- wasn’t it nice of me to share? So now we are both on Amoxicillin but we are doing well. Tuesday the 21st I have my appt to get spayed. Keep me in your prayers that day; Mom is always nervous about anesthesia. Afterwards Mom is sending a letter and pictures of me to the shelter where she adopted me to let them know how well I am doing in my new home. The shelter will also reimburse Mom my adoption fee for having me spayed, and an extra $40 towards the cost of the surgery. My vet says I am 18 weeks now- Mom did the math and that puts my Bday about the same time as Blitzen’s, but 2 years later. I guess you could say I was a Bday present for Blitzen, Tee Hee! Anyway, I am so thankful for my new forever home and all the friends I’ve made here on DC!

Thank you so much for the DOTD vote and the congratulations! Mom and I were so surprised, mom was funny this morning, she logged in and said, "Hey look Merlin todays DOTD has the same profile picture as you." Then she goes about look around as if nothing happened. I'm jumpin up and down barking and carrying on trying to tell her IT IS ME! It took her an eternity, well ok not quite that long to finally look at me and say What? So I jumped into her lap and pawed at the screen and it hit her IT WAS ME looking back at her from the DOTD window. Guess I better quit waking her up so early to tell her it snowed! We're going sledding tonight!!! WAHOO
Thanks again my friend, this is a really nice surprise on this friday the 13th!
