Hi Ozzie
We actually wore out Mom and Dad! They both had to take little naps in the Living Room this afternoon. Daddy planted some stuff in the garden and ran over to check out a yard sale close by this morning.I sure don't understand why ANYBODYwould want to sell their yard.I guess they just sell little pieces of it with all the people that go to those things, which raises and even more perplexing question....why would anybody want to BUY a little piece of somebody elses yard? Yesterday I heard Mommy say they went to some yard sales and GARAGE sales...now how do you sell all those people your garage? Tomorrow morning they are going to a Rummage Sale. What the heck is a RUMMAGE?
If anybody knows what it is please let me know. I sure hope you don't have to feed it and if you do that it doesn't eat a lot! What is really strange about these things is, yesterday, Mommy and Daddy went to Garage and Yard Sales, and to a re-sale shop. They came home with a few things for the house and a game for the youngest niece and her half brother. How did they get those things instead of yards, garages and re-sales? If you go to a gift shop, you buy gifts, a flower shop you buy flowers, at a grocery store, you buy groceries.....I am soooo confused! Maya is sooooooo confused. Even our cousin Dexter who is MUCH older than us can't explain it. I think yard and garage sales and re-sale shops aren't the only places they went, myself. Maya and I are BOTH a little suspicious!
It's another hot day here! That's why Daddy quit working outside at lunchtime.He said it is a scorcher out there! No wonder that little bluebird is STILL trying to come in the house. It looks like he might be a little sunburned cause his front is a little bit red! I better go check on Daddy cause he hasn't moved on the couch for a while. I'm gonna borrow Mommy's hand mirror and go hold it under his nose and see if he steams it up. Cross your paws he does! Bark at ya later!

Alas, it is true,I got a Boo-Boo! I've been being very good and pretty much minding this past week. I do, however, have a tendency to stick my nose in where it doesn't belong! I don't mean it in the sense that I stick it into other people's business, but literally. I keep sticking my nose, heck , I stick my whole head into tall grass, bushes,leaves on the ground, weeds, brush piles, pretty much anything that happens to catch my attention and be within my reach. hehehe
Usually except for getting me hollered at for not paying attention to anything except what I am fixated on it is usually pretty harmless, but not this time.The last couple of days my eye was really getting what Mommy called "eye-boogers" in it. The left eye was the real culprit, here! Mommy kept cleaning it out. Well it kept getting this matter in the corner more and more often. On Friday morning,Mommy saw my eye was crusted up so she cleaned it and looked in my eye to see if she could see any foreign thing in there or anything. It was very bloodshot.Mommy knew I had had what looked like cherry eye once but before the doctor could see me, it cleared up. Mommy said you don't mess around with eyes! We had to go to the vets office to get the Heartworm and Flea and Tick medicine for me and Maya for May and my vet was working that day. She saw it was us getting the meds and came out to say Hi. Mommy asked her if she had a second to look at my eye. When she saw it she said she needed to put dye in it to check for corneal damage and scratches so she took me to the back. Well the good news is I don't have corneal damage, the BAD news is my eye is scratched!! Mommy has to put antibiotic drops that have a steroid in them in my eye 3 times a day! I am being really good about it! Mommy says she bets I don't learn my lesson, though. First chance I get that head will be right smack dab in the middle of something....no, make that EVERYTHING! I just can't help it. It must be the Dachshund in me that makes me follow my nose. I put it to the ground and I am like a bloodhound....Just call me "Snoopy Sniffer" and I am good at it, too!Maybe since the stuff I stick my head into messed up my eye, and my nose is so reliably on target, I should just close my eyes and follow my nose...you know what they say, "the nose knows" hehehe BOL! Maya is fine she hasn't been bit by any "wild bunnies" or anything! Together we are a handful! Mommy says any of our DC Friends that have more than 2 dogs are BRAVER than her...she says our 2 dogs,
3 cats and 2 birds are quite enough, thank you! You know what I told her? I said, "Your Welcome", I am very polite, ya know!

Were running as fast as we can to catch up to you .*. fun walking with you Ozzie !! You lead and we'll follow .*. we have wind today and helped push us along walking around the park .*. was neat little baseball players .. playing .. we saw our neighbor !! 2nd time we saw him !! Once was at another park their school was having a picnic !! We like hearing him play basketball and we sit and listen to all his giggles, Misha especailly listens as her person home had children, sissy LOVES children. Hi Ozzie, how are ya doin"? How's Mom?
We are real worried about Aunt Nan! I wish there was something we could do to help her get well again.It seems like this has been going on for her forever! Please give her love and kisses from us!
Well Mommy and Daddy have been busy this week and believe it or not I have been such a good puppydog that it hurts....literally, I am about to explode! I feel like Vesuvious and Mt. St. Helens all wrapped up into one! I haven't been perfect, mind you, and I never will be, but I have been a good boy ALL WEEK!So has Maya. Well, wait a minute, that's not quite true. Maya has NOT been a good boy all week, she's been a good girl! ...Bahhahahaha BOL! My bad...
Ya know what? This being good junk kinda pays off sometimes. I have actually been allowed to run around outside in the big yard off leash! when I'd run up toward the road, head for the woods or down the field toward the lake, Mommy would yell "Chewie, no! Stop! and I would stop, look back at her, and then she would signal me back and say "Chewie come on, let's go"! and I would come back! Okay, hold all applause until I get the whole story told, please. I know it's hard but practice a little self control, NOBODY knows how hard THAT is more than me, believe me, but if I can do it, you can do it! Back to the story. I haven't torn the stuffing out of one single toy this week, my jumping on people has been minimal, I have worked hard at learning my tricks AND, wait for it, wait for it.... I didn't have to be crated when Mommy and Daddy did their marathon shopping trip on Wdnesday! I was loose with Maya for a pretty good stretch of time. We BOTH gave them a royal welcome, not soon to be forgotten and boy were we rewarded! We got a brand new pillow bed the size for Big Dogs! We each got a new bouncy chew toy, more chew sticks and more treats to use in our tricks training! Talk about hitting the jackpot and we didn't even have to go to sin city (for the sheltered ones out there, thats Vegas, Baby! I learned that from that black box they watch all the time..hehe) What happens in Washington, stays in MY HOUSE! Yeah! I don't know how long I can keep this up without demon dog making a brief appearance, but I am going to milk this for all it's worth. Sucking up can get you anything...well not ANYTHING but a pretty good haul! I'll keep you informed on this one! You might want to give it a try in the meantime!

Hi Ozzie and Aunt Nan
Please get well Aunt Nan, I am so worried about you! We don't want to make it hard on you. You could just pick one of us to blog to and just silet vote the others, or don't visit the pages at all if it is making Aunt Nan sicker. We only blog to you because we are so VERY fond of you, Ozzie. We have grown to love you and care about you. And as for Chewies long blogs we just try to make sure we put it on your page as we thought you liked reading it! Just let us know what you want us to do so Aunt nan doesn't get sicker.
