Dog Psychology - Level 3

Dog training is as much a study of dog psychology as it is an art form. This course will cover some of the basics of dog learning theory and give an introduction to clicker training.

Reading assignment: Learn about the scientists who discovered how dogs think, and find out how to use canine psychology to teach your dog basic behaviors.

The videos really helped make training look so easy and it really is when you understand how your dog thinks. Knowing what motives him/her is a key ingredient to communicating with your dog. This was very helpful. Thanks DC

Personally, and I'm a dog trainer... I absolutely abhor the clicker method. Though I understand it offers another training aid &I works for a lot of people... I've never HAD to use a clicker to get the desired behavior from my dogs.

From a dog training POV, I personally only use the clicker as a last resort...
