To raise money for veterinary care for abandoned Dachshunds in Georgia
Who:
Howl-O-Weenie was started in 2003 to meet the goal of making significant improvements in the lives of needy Dachshunds in the Atlanta and North Georgia area. The proceeds provide ongoing financial assistance for veterinary expenses and emergency medical situations. Every dog that is placed in a home through DREAM is spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, tested or treated for heartworms, and tested or treated for other parasites. Other medical conditions also are addressed. Every year, DREAM provides a home for approximately 150 abandoned, abused or unwanted dachshunds by finding them a permanent and loving home. DREAM is a 501c3, all-volunteer organization licensed by the Georgia Department of Agriculture.
