Have you ever been out and about and strangers tell you your dog is gorgeous? Or maybe he loves getting his picture taken (and you love taking his picture) because you both know how adorable he is. I’m sure all the photos you’ve posted on social media of your dog have gotten you tons of "likes,” right? Well, now is your chance to show off your furry companion to a larger audience. After, all he is just the cutest canine ever!
If you’re in the Chicago area, bring him to Loomis St. Gardens at the corner of Monroe and Loomis and get his picture taken for charity. The photo shoot takes place Saturday, Nov. 8 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 9 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Participation is free and every dog who volunteers his modeling services will be featured in the calendar.
Skinner Park Advisory Council, an organization dedicated to the enhancement of the community’s use of Skinner Park and Loomis St. Gardens, is behind the event. For the past 11 years they’ve created calendars showing off the four-legged creatures who benefit immensely from the park and gardens: the community’s dogs. The 2015 calendars will be available Dec. 8 for $20. Proceeds go to Skinner Park as well as the restoration of Loomis St. Gardens.
Not in the Chicago area, but still want to share some photos of your dog to a larger audience? Post them to our Facebook page. We’d love to see them!
