Q. Are American Bulldogs and pit bulls the same dog? I don't think they are because looking at them you can see a difference. My co-worker, one of those that knows “everything” says they are the same breed. I am hoping to prove her wrong.

The American Bulldog and the American Pit Bull Terrier are not the same breed. The American Bulldog is taller and was bred to be an all-around farm and ranch dog which the APBT was not.
