My senior dog's story:
When I found out I would not be able to have children, I was heart-broken. There was only one way to fill that gap in my heart...get a dog. I got Cody when he was 8 weeks old and I knew it was love at first sight. Through the years I had his back and he had mine. I was there for him when he had to have surgery for his prolapsed rectum and he was there for me when I fainted and found out that I had a heart problem. He has always been a true friend to me.

I love looking at the senior dogs photos. I had a senior dog to live to be 19 years old.

Sandie, I couldn't agree with your comments more. My senior dog came into my life when she was 5. I wanted an adult dog to love and give a home to. She provides me with so much happiness and love daily. I know she may not be with me as long as a puppy but every day with her is a wonderful day. I am lucky to have found her.
