Brush and shears in hand, Jonathan David works wonders on canine coats.
Jonathan David is probably the closest thing the dog-grooming world has to uber-hairstylist Frederick Fekkai.
He poufs Poodles and snips Schnauzers for a laundry list of celebrities, including Mariah Carey, Ralph Lauren, and Ivana Trump. As for his own distinctive grooming flourish, he has a postage stamp-sized “soul patch” beneath his lower lip.
David was the runner-up on the Animal Planet reality series Groomer Has It, in which a dozen contestants faced challenges such as grooming dogs made of yarn and assuaging angry clients like Danny Bonaduce.
A day in his real life is arguably much less traumatic.
