Coat of Many Colors
A Bedlington Terrier’s distinctive coat changes color as the dog ages, says Bedlington breeder and Bedlington Terrier Club of America board member Diane P. of Pennsylvania. A blue puppy starts life with a black coat, while the sandy and liver puppies begin with dark brown coats. As they reach their first birthday, the coats fade to white. By the time they’re 2 years old, the color returns.
