Athlete, friend, couch potato – the intelligent Dachshund can do it all.

Dottie Matrix, a 9-pound smooth-coated miniature Dachshund, defies all the typical breed stereotypes.

"Dottie isn't stubborn. Maybe a little spoiled," admits Katie Meenan of New York. "But she was really easy to train once I figured out all her little personality quirks. She can shake paws, roll over, and beg. Now I'm teaching her how to spin in a circle."  

Quirky? You bet, but the endearing Dachshund makes an excellent companion, for humans and other species.
