By Kathy Salzberg

1. Dog grooming has a history. Images on monuments and coins in ancient Greek and Roman times feature Poodle-like dogs trimmed in the “lion clip” — bodies shorn with heads and tails fluffy. Poodles were perfumed, powdered, pompadoured, and pantalooned in the royal court of Louis XVI.
