It was good to read this article about rescue/transport. I've involved myself in the wonderful endeavor of driving dogs to safety for a bit over two years. I've touched base with all who have been mentioned in the article and I've met many more. It has been my great pleasure to have crossed paths and touched hearts with each and every one. Most especially, it has been my extraordinary pleasure to have met all of the dogs along the way, as they rode to the safety of rescue, foster, or forever homes. All lifted my heart and reminded me that life is good when you realize, appreciate, and love a creature. Throughout nearly all of my travels with the dogs, I had a "co-pilot," my daughter Laura. She made the rides sweeter and we both shall pay forward all of the goodness we've come to realize in the world of transporting...the goodness of all of the people we've met and the goodness of all of the beautiful dogs. Transporting is rewarding, uplifting and heartwarming. Every run has been memorable. Every dog has touched our hearts.
