Rescue Railroad Photo Slide Show

View photos of dogs who found a new lease on life thanks to a network of volunteers.

Thousands of dogs are rescued from shelters each year and transported to new homes by a grassroots network of volunteers known informally as the Rescue Railroad. On any given weekend, volunteers crisscross the country to keep countless dogs from being euthanized. To get involved, call your local shelter for the names of rescue groups that conduct transports.

My wife and I are looking for "designer dogs" that come from two small breeds. We currently have a "Chin/Pin". She is a mix of a Chiuauah and Miniture Pinscher. We really love her. We only have two problems with her at this time. One, she is over weight, she weighs agout 15 pounds and should weight 8-10. The other proglem is that she has a really gad odor at times coming from (so we are geing told, her "anal gland". Sometimes we call her "Stink Butt". We would like to know if this treatagle - surgery, etc.. We are also wanting to get another of the same breed. Any help you can give us will be greatly appreciated. Please let us know what you can find out about

Thank you very much.
