A happy herder, the exuberant Polish Lowland Sheepdog also loves to snuggle.
Walking into the pasture with the confidence of a seasoned pro, 3-year-old Polish Lowland Sheepdog Chelsea went straight toward the sheep and got to work. Moving quietly in behind the sheep and working back and forth to keep them tightly bunched, she herded them into a corner — all without scattering or scaring them.
“That was Chelsea’s first encounter with sheep, but she knew just what to do,” says owner Richard Farrell of Virginia. “Watching her made the hair rise on the back of my neck. That amazing natural instinct just took over.”
