Sanctuaries give ‘unadoptable’ dogs a haven.

Bubba and Sissy are Australian Shepherd mixes. Years ago, a dog lover discovered the two pups running wild and spent days coaxing the pair to come home with her. Over time, the two dogs grew to trust their new owner, but wouldn’t let anyone else handle them. Then, Bubba and Sissy’s new owner was diagnosed with terminal cancer.
She knew Bubba and Sissy’s distrust of people made them unadoptable, and she agonized over what to do with her beloved dogs. Thankfully, Bubba and Sissy were given a place to live the rest of their lives together at ARFHouse, a nonprofit, no-kill, care-for-life animal sanctuary.
