Senior Dogs Make Great Pets

Senior dogs enrich their owners lives with "as good as gold" companionship.

While much is made of human retirement, we rarely think of our dogs’ retirements. Maybe that’s because dogs never really do give up their jobs. Regardless of any old-age physical ailments, they continue to serve as our devoted companions, often until they take their last breaths.

Here, you’ll meet three wonderful examples who wouldn’t head to Florida for all of the dog biscuits in the world. One changed careers at age 6. Another was adopted — and kept — despite serious quirks. A third helped her owner build an extended family.
