Olive Oil lives the good life. She loves to cuddle on the couch of her Wentzville, Mo., home. Squirrel-chasing keeps her zooming around the 5-acre property. And when she’s engaged in her favorite leisure-time activity, sunbathing, her biggest worry is “moving as the shadows encroach on her sun,” says owner Scott S.
But 3-year-old Olive Oil didn’t always fill her days with the pursuit of twitchy-tailed nut hoarders and carefree lounging. This Greyhound spent her first two years at a racetrack, where her only focus was galloping after a mechanical rabbit, part of a ground-pounding pack of four-footed racers.
