Earlier that day, Minnie’s owner, French Bulldog breeder Jan Grebe of Shawnee Mission, Kan., had found a large turtle in the backyard and had stowed the hefty fellow in the bushes for safekeeping so she could return him to the park later. But when she returned, there was the turtle, sitting next to Minnie on the sofa.
