For the 51st year, show dog professionals from across the nation gathered in New York the weekend before the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show to attend the Dogs in Review Show Dogs of the Year Awards, presented by Natures Recipe. The black-tie ceremony spotlights the years top group-winning American Kennel Club show dogs, along with their owners, handlers, and breeders, and also acknowledges outstanding individuals in the pet industry.

Boasting some of the most dedicated and selfless individuals in the business, shelters and veterinarians work tirelessly to further the well-being of our animal companions. The past year, however, presented a host of unique and strenuous challenges, with the widespread devastation in the Gulf Coast region.

As expected, industry professionals responded with commitment and compassion, making an enormous effort to aid animals in the region. As a tribute to the work of individuals and organizations alike, Dogs In Reviews 2005 Special Industry Awards recognized disaster relief volunteers.
