New Poodle Comes Home

In last month’s issue, I mentioned I was about to pick up my new puppy from his breeder. Jäger, a black Miniature Poodle, has brought a lot of laughter and joy to our home over the past month.
My husband, Jeff, and I just can’t get enough of his irresistibly adorable antics. At 18 weeks old, he’s energetic, curious and just plain silly at times. He loves to play fetch and race at top speed around our backyard, squeaky toy clamped tight in his jaws. Each morning when I take him out of his crate, he greets me with squeals of delight. At night when I cook dinner, he sits at my feet, staring up at me with his bright, intelligent eyes, watching every move I make.
About a week after Jäger came to live with us, I brought him to the office for a photo shoot. Aside from a minor potty accident, he did wonderfully and thought the day was great fun. This is one of my favorite photos from the shoot.
