Fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi, who once declared mutts “true originals,” will appear on “Celebrity Jeopardy!” on Nov. 14 to benefit the ASPCA, the organization announced yesterday.
The ASPCA will receive a minimum donation of $25,000 as a result of Mizrahi’s participation.
“The generosity of people like Mr. Mizrahi is what enables the ASPCA to continue its life-saving work, and we thank him,” said ASPCA president and CEO Ed Sayres in a statement. “It is also deeply gratifying that, as the oldest animal welfare organization in this country, we are on the radar screen of one of the best-known fashion icons of our time.”
Mizrahi will face off with Soledad O’Brien from CNN’s “American Morning” and Harry Shearer of “The Simpsons” on the Nov. 14 show.
Mizrahi rose to fame in the 1990s, designing flashy clothing that was popular with Madonna and supermodels like Cindy Crawford. He currently hosts “Isaac” on the Style Network channel and designs a line of clothing for Target.
