Dakota Fanning’s meteoric rise has allowed her to work with many of today’s top actors, including Sean Penn, Denzel Washington and Tom Cruise. But what the 12-year-old actress, who makes millions of dollars per film, really wants is a dog.
“I want a dog really, really bad,” moaned the actress to Entertainment Weekly. “But my mom’s really clean, and she thinks dogs are dirty, so I don’t know if I’m going to get one anytime soon.”
Fanning says her dream dog is a longhaired Chihuahua. “I already have a leash picked out, and it has feathers around the collar. I can’t wait! I’m so excited! I’m gonna call her London, like England. And I’m gonna paint her toenails!”
If she can’t have a dog at home, at least Fanning can work with scores of animals on a film. The actress plays Fern in “Charlotte’s Web,” which hits theaters on Dec. 15.
