Planet Dog Foundation Grants Available

Up to $5,000 will be awarded per applicant.

The Planet Dog Foundation, the charitable giving arm of the dog products manufacturer Planet Dog, is accepting proposals for its grant program.

The foundation’s mission is to promote and celebrate programs in which working canines, including therapy dogs, service dogs, search-and-rescue dogs, bomb sniffing dogs and police dogs enhance and save human lives.

The foundation will award grants in amounts up to $5,000 to applicants anywhere in the United States who work toward this mission. Deadline for submission is Feb. 16, 2007. Grant awards will be announced by March 15, 2007.

I believe those that really love dogs, will also have grants available for those that are unadoptable and living out their lives at a place that has patience and a heart and realizes its not the dogs fault that their owner abandon them or screwed up their head. Please consider a grant for Bluelion Rescue which has around 100 dogs that other rescues and public have dump their dogs on.
