Reward Offered in Show Dogs’ Deaths

The two Vizslas were found in a stolen van.

Dog clubs in Ohio and Connecticut are offering a joint reward of over $10,000 to anyone with information leading to the arrest of whoever was responsible for the death of two show dogs on Jan. 7.

The two Vizsla breed dogs, named Nedda and Logan, were found dead Jan. 7 in Munroe Falls, Ohio, inside a van that had been stolen from the parking lot of a hotel about an hour away.

According to Cuyahoga Falls police, a small fire had been set in the front passenger seat with the dogs still inside. It’s not clear if the thief or thieves knew the dogs were in the back of vehicle.

The dogs were in the area for a show sponsored by the Rubber City Kennel Club. That club is offering the reward along with the Connecticut Valley Vizsla Club Inc.

Cuyahoga Falls police are continuing to investigate, but have no solid leads, according to police Capt. Jack Davis.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact detectives at (330) 928-2181.
