For the first time ever, the USA television network and the Westminster Kennel Club are allowing dog enthusiasts to buy and download breed judging videos from the 2006 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.
Users have access to 165 breed videos at the kennel club’s official website (www.westminsterkennelclub.org). Each video will feature 30-second preview clips for users to view before deciding to buy a full-length video.
A week after the 2007 show, the content offerings will be expanded to include Breed Judging and Best in Group videos from this year’s event.
“While the dog show fan experience starts on-air, we want it to continue at home on PCs and other mobile devices,” Chris McCumber, USA Network’s senior vice president of marketing and brand strategy, said.
Throughout this year’s event and for a week after, users will be able to watch free streaming videos of the breed judging events within hours of the live telecast from Madison Square Garden.
The 131st annual Westminster Kennel Dog Club Show will be broadcast at 8 p.m. (7 p.m. Central) on Mon., Feb. 12 and Tues., Feb. 13 on USA Network.
