New York Humane Society Hosts Dog Photo Auction

One hundred percent of the proceeds from the dog photo auction will benefit homeless dogs and cats.

New York, by Elliott Erwitt, is one of the photographs to be auctioned.

More than 300,000 dogs and cats depend on the Humane Society of New York’s veterinary clinic as well as the Vladimir Horowitz & Wanda Toscanini Horowitz Adoption center for their survival.

On April 16 you can do your part to help by attending the HSNY’s 3rd annual Fine Art Photographer Auction at New York City’s Baryshnikov Arts Center. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the auction will benefit the thousands of dogs and cats in HSNY’s care.

Photographers confirmed to donate prints include Kathryn Abbe, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Robert Dutesco, Michael Eastman, Elliott Erwitt, Sylvia Plachy, Milton H. Greene, Mary Hilliard, Mary Ellen Mark, Frances McLaughlin-Gill, Michael O’Neill, Martha Swope, Deborah Turbeville, and Nitin Vadukul.

For tickets (which are available for a $50 tax-deductible donation) or more information on the event, contact Sandra DeFeo of HSNY at (212) 752-4842, or visit www.humanesocietyny.org. A selection of photos will be available online for both viewing and purchasing.
