Singer Pink has commissioned a permanent memorial to her recently deceased Bulldog, Elvis: an elaborate 6-inch-long tattoo on her inner forearm.
The singer was photographed with the new tattoo on her left arm last week during a break from touring with Justin Timberlake. According to Life & Style magazine, the tattoo features a drawing of her dog’s head and the reading, “A time to weep. A time to mourn. Sleep in peace.”
The dog drowned on Jan. 17 in the singer’s backyard pool in Los Angeles, Calif. Pink found the dog after returning home from a short errand.
Elvis, who was given to Pink (aka Alecia Moore) by her longtime friend Lisa Marie Presley, had been in Pink’s pool many times before. The death came as a shock to the singer, according to Pink’s spokesperson Michele Schweitzer.
