Airline Loses Faith the Dog

American Airlines loses popular two-legged dog during flight mix-up.

Turns out you just gotta have Faith.

Faith the Dog, the two-legged dog whose uplifting story has inspired countless fans and earned her appearances on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and “The Late Show with David Letterman,” was lost last week at Orlando International Airport after American Airlines put her on the wrong flight.

Owner Jude Stringfellow told WESH-TV in Orlando that after arriving on a flight from Oklahoma City, no one from the airline could find her dog for several hours.

American Airlines finally tracked Faith down. The dog had inadvertently been put on a different flight than Stringfellow, who was traveling with Faith to Orlando to attend the Global Pet Expo, a pet industry trade show.

A spokesperson for American Airlines said that they take responsibility for losing Faith and will investigate the incident.

It's an embarrassemnt to our airline industry. We need to shape up and do a better job at shipping out. There is no excuse for this. Maybe a couple of lawsuits from the dog owner would be right on time....

Wow! I wouldn't ever travel on that airline again if the plane was irresponsable enough to lose my dog!

Thank goodness that she was found, and she is okay. I was scared to read this story, afraid that it had a sad ending. But, now I am happy to say...yea Faith!!

I have to agree 110% with Lorraine from NY. Not only would it solve this "mistake" but it would also help the stress level of the dog during travel. It sounds like a win-win idea to me!
