Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Pete Wentz have welcomed a new baby: 10-week-old Bulldog puppy, Rigby.
“The newest addition to the family. Meet Rigby,” Wentz wrote on his blog about the new pooch.
Wentz’s other dog, Bulldog Hemingway, was the ring bearer at the couple’s May wedding. Luckily for the pair, who are expecting a baby later this year, the two dogs seem to be getting along just fine. “[Rigby] pretty much follows Hem around,” Wentz told People.
Wentz, who is the bassist for Fall Out Boy, is a longtime animal lover. He even commissioned a cake that was a life-size replica of Hemingway for his 29th birthday last month.
“Kinda weird to eat your dog,” writes Wentz, who blogs as Clandestine. “But I got past it.”
Meanwhile, Wentz told People that he’d like to raise his family in Chicago, where he grew up.
“You go to your own coffee shop, you go to the dog park, it’s smaller and I appreciate it,” he says. Wentz also says he’s studying up in anticipation of fatherhood. “I’ve been reading books and watching my dad,” he says.
