Rachael Ray Launches Dog Food Line

The talk-show star says her dog, Isaboo, inspired the all-natural products.

Rachael Ray is bringing her down-to-earth culinary style to a whole new audience: pets.

The star of syndicated talk show “Rachael Ray” and “30 Minute Meals” has launched a line of dog food and treats called Rachael Ray Nutrish.

“I love my dog Isaboo, and as a member of my family, I need to make sure that she eats as well as the rest of us,” Ray said in a statement. “With the launch of Nutrish, I now have the opportunity to share with other pet lovers some of her favorite meals, flavors and special treats.”

Proceeds from the all-natural products, which include treats Isaboo Booscotti and Isaboo Grill Bites, will benefit Rachael’s Rescue, an organization Ray founded to help homeless animals.

“It seemed like not a lot of extra time to donate to something that could potentially raise millions of dollars for championing these little creatures that can’t speak for themselves,” Ray said of the line’s charitable mission.

A line of all-natural cat food products is also in the works, Ray said.

My huskies LOVE this food!!! It contains everything that they need, especially for a large breed! The only problem is it only comes in 8lb. and 14lb. bags...I wish it would come in the 40lb. bags so I wouldn't have to go to the store every other week!! Could you please make it in larger size for us that are multi-dog and/or large breed homes??

I hope Rachael will come out with a cookbook. I prefer to cook for my dog (especially treats) because that way I can keep track of his calories My baby "Chico" is 8.5 lbs and should weigh no more than that and so I track his calaries daily.
